Meet your photographer

Tirzah aka Tizzy aka Wedding Day Bestie

Tirzah Rae, you can call me Tizzy.

Tirzah, yes that’s my actual name! It’s Hebrew (shoutout to my mom), and it’s pronounced “tear-zuh”. My middle name, Rae, was passed down from my great-grandmother, who sang with the USO. I didn’t inherit her velvety pipes, but I’d like to think I got a little of her stage presence — and definitely her love for people.

My favorite moments to capture are cocktail hour & the in-between. Hugs that last longer than you expect, your Poppy tearing up across the room, sipping cocktails with your favorite people. But I also can’t help loving the moments I get to be your groomsmen hype man and your crowd surf enthusiasts!

My approach is equal parts editorial and documentary. What’s that mean? I’ll give you enough direction to help you feel confident, but I’ll never ask you to pretend to be someone you’re not. I want your gallery to feel effortless, emotional, and unmistakably you.

When I’m not photographing your big moments, you’ll probably find me sipping a filthy martini in the yard with my pups — Jetty & Nova. Or I am planning my next trip away, all the while convincing my husband “a cattle farm is perfectly suitable as a hobby”.

At the end of the day, you’re not just booking my work, you are booking me. I will be there to get choked up while you trade personal vows. There to fluff your dress and remind you how stunning you are. There to laugh with you about your odd uncle’s antics. I’m there to be part of your day, putting you at ease to capture you in your truest form.
